Appointments and Cancellations
We welcome new obstetric and gynecologic patients.

When calling for an appointment, please describe your needs to our staff so
that an appropriate length of time can be reserved for you.

We  make every effort to see patients at scheduled appointment times. We
respect the value of your time and want to spare you long waits. Our
specialty does involve emergency procedures, surgical delays and the least
predictable of all, deliveries. Consequently, we ask for your understanding. If
we are running behind, our staff will attempt to notify you of any delays.

We also request that you arrive on time for your visit. If you are unable to
keep your appointment or are going to be late, please call the office as soon
as possible. For your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out
medical history and registration forms.

Please provide our office with accurate, up-to-date contact information. This
information includes telephone numbers (work, home and cell), address,
employer, and names and telephone numbers of individuals we could call in
the event of a medical emergency.

Referral from another Provider
If you are being referred to us from another practitioner, please obtain a
copy of your medical records for us before your scheduled appointment
time. This will allow our practitioners to review your medical information in
advance.

Cancellation of an Appointment.

In order to be respectful of the medical needs of others, please be
courteous and call us promptly if you are unable to keep an appointment.
This courtesy on your part will make it possible to give your appointment to
another patient who needs to see a practitioner. Failure to provide this
notice takes appointment times that could have been given to other patients
and causes financial losses for our office. If you must cancel an
appointment, we will do our best to reschedule your visit as soon as
possible. To cancel appointments, please call (772) 785-8000

“No Show” Policy
A “no show” is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling by
10 a.m. (1) working day in advance. No-shows inconvenience those
individuals who need access to medical care in a timely manner.

If you do not call to cancel an appointment, it is documented as a “no show”
in our charts and in our computer system. We will notify you by letter or by
phone. If there is a second “no show,” you will be charged $50. Our policy
states that if a patient has three “no shows,” she will be unable to schedule
further appointments and is discharged from our practice.

Note: If a patient has concerns with this policy, it must be addressed with the
office manager.
